INDIANAPOLIS — Best-One of Indy's founding partner and vice president, Scott Monteith, retired Jan. 1 after a 37-year career with the tire dealership.
Monteith will be succeeded in his position by Nick Howe and Chris Fox.
In 1986, Monteith partnered with Paul Zurcher, Ray Monteith, Ross Kubacki and Dennis Dickson to form Indy Truck Tire Center, as a partner of the Best-One organization. The company has grown to 15 locations in central Indiana.
"Our father, Paul Zurcher, had the privilege of working closely with Scott for many years, and we have seen firsthand his passion for serving people," Larry and Mark Zurcher, co-CEOs of Best-One Corp., said.
"On behalf of Best-One and the Zurcher family, we thank Scott for his dedication, leadership and contributions to our organization and the industry."
Throughout his career, Monteith was active in several local organizations, including serving as a board member and campaign chairman for the Ransburg YMCA, House Corp. of Delta Tau Delta at DePauw University, and as a deacon and trustee at Southport Presbyterian Church.
In 2022, Best-One awarded Monteith with the Paul Zurcher Legacy Award.
Monteith is transitioning into a part-time position within the Best-One organization, where he will continue to make valuable contributions and support the company's mission, the company said.
