KINGSTON, N.H. — The New England Tire & Service Association (NETSA) has named Katie Maguire as its new executive director.
She succeeds Tony DeSimone, who is retiring at year-end after serving in the position for six years.
Maguire, an executive assistant and inside sales representative at Mohawk Rubber Sales, has been a longtime NETSA member, serving as a board member, secretary and president over the years.
In addition to working in the automotive industry, Maguire has over 10 years of experience running a charity.
The NETSA said DeSimone was active in keeping the association board and membership aware of pending legislation throughout the New England states.
His efforts were recognized on a national level, having twice received the Industry Achievement Award from the Tire Industry Association (TIA), in 2019 and in 2021.
TIA also recognized DeSimone with the Excellence in Association Leadership Award in 2023.
"He played a substantial role in bringing our members the best trade shows in New England as well as our ability to offer scholarships to our members' college-bound young adults," NETSA said.
NETSA represents more than 580 member locations and hosts a number of activities and events, including its annual trade show and convention, the Road Runner quarterly newsletter, scholarships and an annual golf tournament to raise funds for scholarships.
