COSTA MESA, Calif. --- Toyo Tire Corp. has named Tatsuo Mitsuhata chairman and CEO of Toyo Tire Holdings of America Inc. (TTHA) effective Aug. 1.
Mitsuhata also will continue as Toyo Tire's director, vice president and corporate officer of sales headquarters. In his 35-year career at Toyo, Mitsuhata previously was president and CEO of Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. and Toyo Tire Europe G.m.b.H.
In addition, Nobuo Yoshida was named president and chief operating officer of TTHA. Yoshida previously was TTHA's senior vice president, strategic planning and supply chain management.
During his 21-year career at Toyo Tire, Yoshida's roles have included managing director of Toyo Tyre (UK) Ltd. and sales director of Toyo Tire Europe. Yoshida also was with Toyo Tire USA Corp. from 2005-11.
Current TTHA Chairman, President and CEO Iori Suzuki is retiring after 18 years at the company. Suzuki joined TTHA as senior vice president and general counsel, and was significantly involved in establishing the company's tire plant in White, Ga., Toyo said.
