LUDWIGSBURG, Germany — Mann+Hummel Verwaltungs G.m.b.H., the maker of Wix automotive oil, air and fuel filters, has promoted Kurk Wilks to president and CEO, effective Jan. 1.
He will succeed Werner Lieberherr, who left the company in October.
Mr. Wilks will manage the group together with Emese Weissenbacher, executive vice president and chief finance officer, and Nic Zerbst, chief operating officer.
Mr. Wilks has been with the company for about 20 years and will continue to manage the automotive original equipment business, which he has been responsible for since early 2019.
He previously worked in a variety of roles within Mann+Hummel in the U.S.
"I've been able to familiarize myself with all the divisions of Mann+Hummel over the past years. I am looking forward to tackling my greatest challenge yet together with Emese Weissenbacher and Nic Zerbst," Mr. Wilks said.
Mr. Lieberherr and Mann+Hummel parted ways in October by mutual agreement over differing views on the firm's future strategic direction. He had been CEO of the family-owned business since October 2018.
Headquartered in Ludwigsburg, Mann+Hummel manufactures air cleaner systems, intake manifold systems, liquid filter systems, plastic components, filter media, cabin filters, industrial filters and membrane filters.
