GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Leeds West Groups (LWG), the operator of more than 100 Midas and Big O Tires stores across the U.S., has hired Lance Goeddel to be senior vice president of legal compliance and general counsel. The move was effective Sept. 1.
Mr. Goeddel will lead LWG's risk management and compliance program, optimizing efficiency regarding all company legal matters. According to LWG, Mr. Goeddel will be working with Peter Derschang, LWG CFO, and Lydia Strand, vice president of LWG human resources, overseeing the growth and implementation of a "top-notch" compliance program that effectively identifies and mitigates "legal and regulatory risk, and embeds the highest standards of compliance across all of LWG's existing and future nationwide businesses."
Mr. Goeddel will manage LWG's real estate and lease portfolios, as well as future acquisition legal matters.
Mr. Goeddel most recently was general counsel for Full Speed Automotive (Grease Monkey International, Havoline Express Lube, and Speedee Oil) and head of Full Speed's automotive real estate portfolio. Before that, Mr. Goeddel spent three years each as associate corporate counsel for JBS USA and as vice president for Navjoy Consulting Services Inc.
