COPLEY, Ohio — Doug Kershaw, president of BKT USA Inc. since July 2022, has resigned from the U.S. subsidiary of India's Balkrishna Industries Ltd. His last day with the company was Aug. 24.
A replacement has not been named.
BKT thanked Kershaw for his past contributions and said the company "wishes him well in his future endeavors."
Kershaw joined BKT in 2018 and was named to a leadership position with the company in mid-December 2021, succeeding Minoo Mehta, who had led the unit since 2014.
Kershaw was named president of the subsidiary in July 2022.
Mehta remains with the organization as a senior adviser and member of the managing committee.
Kershaw joined BKT in 2018 and has more than 32 years of experience in the rubber, composites, tire and track industries. He also worked for Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas and Camso Ltd. prior to joining to BKT.
Mumbai, India-based BKT manufactures off-highway tires used in mining, earthmoving and agriculture.
According to the latest rankings by Tire Business, BKT ranks No. 27 — four places higher than it was a year earlier — in global tire sales, with sales of $1.25 billion in 2022.
