REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio — Kenda Tire USA Inc. has hired marketing veteran Ryan Lewis as its marketing manager - automotive, overseeing a comprehensive marketing program that the company said will support strategic growth initiatives and continue to build the Kenda Tire brand in the automotive market.
Mr. Lewis, who has 16 years of experience in marketing, will report to Vice President Brandon Stotsenburg.
"Kenda Tire continues to push its growth strategy in the passenger and light truck segments," Mr. Stotsenburg said, while lauding Mr. Lewis' experience.
"...His background in product management, branding and integrated marketing communications will further support our plans for accelerated growth."
Mr. Lewis previously worked at Worthington Industries, where he was the category marketing manager for their Bernzomatic and Balloon Time retail brands. During his time there, he helped to develop and execute a brand refresh of the Bernzomatic torch and fuel line in order to move the brand outside of its traditional plumbing sector and into growth segments.
Prior to his time with Worthington Industries, Mr. Lewis spent 10 years with the professional business group of Scotts Miracle-Gro and ICL Specialty Fertilizers, serving in various marketing roles focused on integrated marketing communications.
Mr. Lewis is a graduate of the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University, earning a degree in management and marketing in 2002.
Kenda also said it has additional tire production and new products being supplied from Vietnam for its distributors and retailers, and expanded its Traction Dealer Network.
Kenda's Klever A/T2 KR628 tires, developed at the Kenda America Technical Center in Green, Ohio, will begin shipping this spring.
