WEST COVINA, Calif. — Jiangsu General Science Technology Co. Ltd. (GS) has hired industry veteran Brian Meilko as branch president, tasked with building a North American leadership team to capitalize on the extensive growth opportunities that current and new customers offer.
Mielko brings a dozen-plus years of tire industry experience, mostly with Sailun Tire Americas and Dynamic Tire Corp. in Brampton, Ontario, as well as 15 years' experience in the consumer packaged goods sector.
Mielko's hiring is tied to GS' decision to build a sales-support team designed to serve its customers better and enhance operational capabilities.
Jiangsu, China-based GS goes to market in North America with the TBB and Lancaster brands.

Mielko will head up GS' new U.S. subsidiary, GS Rubbers USA (GSR), based in West Covina.
Statewide Tires/TBB Tires in West Covina remains the primary importer and distributor of the company's tires in the U.S.
