TEQUESTA, Fla. — Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG) LLC has promoted Chris Barry to vice president of sales, tasked with helping ITDG's next president and CEO push for more growth and expansion.
Barry has been with ITDG since 1998, most recently acting as senior sales director. Before joining ITDG, he held various positions at TDW (a division of Hercules Tire).
The cooperative has 164 members operating over 1,000 retail locations in 45 states, generating $344 million-plus in annual sales revenue.
According to retiring ITDG President and CEO Dave Marks, Barry "will play an integral role" in assisting the group's new top executive.
"Since day one when I took over leadership of the group, Chris has been a tremendous asset to me as well as the rest of the team and our members," Marks said.
"Chris has earned a high level of respect from his peers in the industry as well as our members and partner-vendors."
Barry recently was elected president of the California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA), replacing Bill Eordekian, president of 1-800EveryRim OEM Wheels.
