STOW, Ohio — Mahansaria Tyres Pvt. Ltd. (MTPL) has appointed Dhaval Nanavati to the board of directors of its Ascenso Tires North America (ATNA) subsidiary..
The appointment of Nanavati, currently deputy CEO of parent company MTPL, became official on July 25.
Nanvati formerly was president of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, from 2018-2022. He was named deputy CEO of MTPL in November 2022.
"Dhaval's leadership qualities and associations within the tire industry will have a positive impact on the growth of the Ascenso brand," ATNA President Marty Bezbatchenko said. "Together, with the experience of the ATNA team, this will further accelerate the growth of Ascenso in the North American market."
MPTL acquired the Ascenso brand in mid-June 2021. Since then, ATNA has added another warehouse in Georgia.
MTPL and Ascenso say they will double capacity at MTPL's plant in India by mid-2025 and expand the brand's product range.
MPTL recently added an Ascenso-branded agricultural tire to its North America lineup, the VDR 900 (VF) radial tire, designed for machines such self-propelled sprayers, tractors and straddle-row dual wheels and row crops.
