AKRON — Goodyear shareholders re-elected 12 board members for another year at the company's annual meeting, held April 6.
With the COVID-19 outbreak still not under control, Akron-based Goodyear on April 6 had what it called a "virtual" annual shareholder meeting.
Re-elected to the board were: James A, Firestone, Werner Geissler, Peter S. Hellman, Laurette T. Koellner, CEO Richard J. Kramer, W. Alan McCollough, John E. McGlade, Roderick A. Palmore, Hera K. Siu, Stephanie A. Streeter, Michael R. Wessel and Thomas L. Williams.
Shareholders also appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. as Goodyear's accounting firm for this year.
A proposal by shareholder John Chevedden to adopt a bylaw that would subject any amendment to the bylaws or charter approved by the board to a non-binding shareholder vote was not approved.
In early March, Goodyear scheduled the annual meeting with plans to meet in person at an Akron-area hotel. But that quickly changed with the COVID-19 outbreak, causing the company to schedule an online version of the meeting.
