WASHINGTON — FOCUS Investment Banking L.L.C., a middle-market investment bank, has hired former Monro Inc. executive Joe Tomarchio as a senior adviser in its automotive group.
Tomarchio retired in 2023 after a nearly 20-year career with Monro, where he most recently was special adviser – acquisitions.
Prior to joining Monro, Tomarchio co-founded Mr. Tire Inc. with his brother Fred in 1970 and grew the tire retail business to 26 stores in the Baltimore area.
When Monro acquired Mr. Tire in 2004, Tomarchio joined the company as divisional vice president – tire stores. He later served roles as president of Monro's tire group; executive vice president – store operations; and executive vice president of Monro.
"His extensive industry knowledge, combined with his hands-on leadership experience at Monro and beyond, makes him an exceptional addition to our team," Giorgio Andonian, managing director of the automotive group at FOCUS, said.

FOCUS specializes in advising clients across the automotive ecosystem, including dealerships, aftermarket parts and service providers, and emerging technology firms.
As a senior adviser, Tomarchio will work on mergers, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.
