DURAND, Wis. —Bauer Built Inc. recently promoted Darren Breslin to vice president of logistics.
Breslin, a military veteran who served two combat tours in Iraq with the U.S. Marine Corps, will be responsible for all aspects of procurement, transportation, warehousing and optimizing the company's logistical operations.
Breslin joined Bauer Built in January 2018 as the director of supply chain. According to the company, "his leadership, operational expertise and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to the team."
After his military service, Breslin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in operations and supply chain management in 2011. After interning at J.W. Speaker in Germantown, Wis., he joined them full-time, working in a variety of roles between 2011 and 2018, including positions in sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing engineering and zone owner for the Injection Molding Department.
Bauer Built was founded in 1944 by G. F. "Sam" Bauer as a bulk petroleum business but shortly after, in January 1945 the company began selling tires and related services. Today, Bauer Built has 35 tire and service centers, five Michelin retread plants, two wheel-refinishing operations, two distribution centers and a wholesale division across nine Midwest states.
