HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has hired Michael Feder as interim CEO, replacing Stuart Schuette, who resigned after serving as CEO and president since 2016.
Feder previously served more than 23 years as manager director at AlixPartners, a global consulting firm.
“ATD President and CEO Stuart Schuette has resigned to pursue a new opportunity outside of the industry,” ATD said in a statement.
“We are deeply appreciative of Stuart’s leadership, marked by his empathy for our associates and customers. Stuart is a visionary and guided ATD through an ongoing business transformation with passion and dedication. We wish Stuart and his family every success in all future endeavors.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Feder served as an "adviser and interim executive for companies across the business cycle from healthy to distressed" while at AlixPartners, and he has "deep experience in general management, operational turnarounds, financial and cash management and capital structure improvements, including chapter 11 proceedings."
