MAHARASHTRA, India — Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. (YRC) has promoted Angelo Noronha, currently president of global aftermarket sales, to president and CEO of its Yokohama-ATG off-highway tire business unit, effective Jan. 1.
"Angelo has been an integral part of Y-ATG for over 15 years, consistently delivering strong performances across every business he has led," Ru JMantri, YRC co-chief operating officer, said.
"His deep industry knowledge, strategic mindset, and proven track record makes him exceptionally well-suited to drive Y-ATG's mission of being an agile, entrepreneurial and customer-centric organization."
Since being hired by Alliance Tire in 2009 as head of marketing and later chief of sales for Europe. In 2017 he was named president of Asia/Pacific and Middle East/Africa regions.
Y-ATG produces off-highway tires for a range of applications, including agriculture, forestry, construction, earthmoving, mining, ports and industrial operations.
Y-ATG comprises the Alliance Tire Group assets it acquired in 2016 and some off-highway tire assets YRC had prior that. Its brand portfolio includes Alliance, Galaxy and Primex.
Y-ATG differs from Yokohama-TWS, which primarily comprises the Trelleborg Wheel Systems (TWS) assets that YRC bought in 2023.
