GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — FullSpeed Automotive, franchisor and operator of Grease Monkey, SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service and Kwik Kar locations, has promoted Scott Accardo to vice president of operations for SpeeDee.
Accardo grew up helping at his father's SpeeDee store, the company's first franchisee in 1982. Accardo later helped managed the family's three locations and became an owner/manager of the Covington, La., location for 12 years.
Accardo since has served in various positions with the company, including operations manager for more than 65 locations in the central U.S. for SpeeDee and Midas, director of acquisitions and conversions, and senior director of facilities management.
"Scott's leadership role within SpeeDee is vast, and his decades of knowledge and understanding of the SpeeDee brand is well known within the franchise community," Ron Stilwell, president of franchising at FullSpeed, said, adding, "Having held almost every position for the brand, I know he will do great things in this new role to help support our franchisees."
In his new role, Accardo will oversee all aspects of franchise operations and franchisee relations, helping franchisees to be more successful and profitable, the company said.
There are more than 900 company-owned, franchised and licensed SpeeDee outlets in operatin; FullSpeed has a goal of growing that to 1,000 units by year-end 2024.
