PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Get a vaccine to fight COVID-19, help a family in need.
That's the plan for TBC Corp. For every 100 completed vaccination cards submitted, TBC said it will donate $5,000 to the company's organization that financially supports TBC associates who experience catastrophic and life-altering events.
Employees of TBC, the tire and automotive service business that includes retail brands Tire Kingdom Service Centers and NTB Tire & Service Centers along with franchise brands Big O and Midas, must submit the vaccine cards to the human resources department. A $5,000 donation then will be donated to Helping Hands, the company's associated-funded 501(c)(3) organization.
Brian Maciak, executive vice president & general counsel for TBC — whose team oversees Helping Hands — lauded employees for their work serving customers as an essential business during the pandemic.
"Our associates' perseverance, fueled by their commitment to one another and the community, has been the driving force behind our success for 65 years, especially throughout this last year, and what better way to recognize the efforts and dedication of our team members than to support initiatives that are designed to lend a hand to associates during times of need," Mr. Maciak said.
TBC said Helping Hands "provides TBC associates an opportunity to make a difference at a time when a fellow team member needs it most, reinforcing the company's core values and ongoing support of one another."
