WOODRIDGE, Ill. — The combined spring meeting of the Automotive Maintenance & Repair Association (AMRA), Equipment & Tool Institute (ETI) and National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) has been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Instead of a physical meeting, the NASTF said it will host a webinar featuring recordings of the planned presentations, updates from the NASTF teams and a live question-and-answer session. Details on the date and how to access the meeting will be announced soon.
This year was to be the first that all three associations were working to hold one conference, scheduled for May in San Diego. The move was intended to better serve their members and enhance the value of the meetings.
Members should cancel hotel, car or any other reservations for the trip. Room reservations at the Coronado Hotel will be canceled automatically, NASTF said. Members will receive a refund from any deposit in 5 to 10 business days.
The NASTF said it intends to partner with the ETI and AMRA for next year's spring meeting.
AMRA is a nonprofit association of automotive service providers, parts and tool suppliers and manufacturers and technology companies that oversee the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP).
ETI provides networking among members of the automotive equipment and tools industry and OEMs, while NASTF focuses on resolving gaps in the availability and accessibility of OEM automotive service information, service training, diagnostic tools and equipment for automotive service professionals.
