BETHESDA, Md. — The Auto Care Association (ACA) and Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) are collaborating to provide the auto care industry with up-to-date information about the coronavirus, the two associations said in a joint letter to the industry.
"This is also a time for the entire industry to further collaborate for the betterment of us all," the ACA and AASA wrote in the March 26 letter.
"We are providing real-time updates through our respective websites but would like to let all of you know that we are working together on your behalf at the local, state and federal levels," the letter read.
Among other things, the letter provided links to the Department of Homeland Security's list of essential services, which includes vehicle repair and maintenance, and a summary from the office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., of the $2 trillion relief package to help industries, individual citizens and state and local governments combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
The associations have created dedicated pages on their sites — autocare.org and aftermarketsuppliers.org — with links to resources addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
