MONTREAL — The Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada has named Vast Auto Distribution President and CEO Mauro Cifelli its 2021 Distinguished Service Award winner.
The honor is AIA Canada's highest award, presented annually to an outstanding individual within association membership.
"Mauro is an incredible industry leader and a fantastic selection for this distinguished honor," said Joey Miceli, chief operating officer at Vast. "Mauro is very quick to praise and recognize others. We are very proud to see him receiving this recognition."
The AIA Distinguished Service Award is presented in recognition of distinguished service and outstanding leadership given to the growth and development of Canada's automotive aftermarket industry. Criteria for the award include outstanding leadership, community service and personal contribution to the growth and progress of the aftermarket.
Mr. Cifelli, who joined Vast in 1994, formerly served as chairman of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association and currently serves as secretary of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc.'s Board of Directors. Mr. Cifelli also has served as the chairman of AIA Canada at both the provincial and national level.
