Submissions open for annual Toyo Tires photo contest

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. is accepting submissions to its seventh annual Toyo Tires Shutter Space Automotive Photo Contest.

This year, photographers are asked to submit their best "dramatic lighting" shot.

The grand prize winner will have his/her photo displayed and featured at the esteemed Shutter Space Collaborative Car Meet & Automotive Photo Gallery, held in Southern California on Aug, 26,

"This highly anticipated event promises to be a unique celebration of automotive culture, showcasing breathtaking photography alongside impressive custom car builds and fostering connections within the passionate car community," Toyo Tires said.

The winner's photography will be shared on Toyo Tires' social media channels providing "extensive exposure and recognition." The winner will also receive a Westcott FJ Wireless 2-Light Portable Flash Kit, a Pelican 1535 Air carry-on case and an exclusive Toyo Tires branded DSPTCH camera strap.

The grand prize winner will have the opportunity to be a guest photographer for Toyo Tires during the 2023 SEMA Show, "capturing the excitement and innovation of this renowned automotive trade event."

In addition to the grand prize winner, 19 finalists will have their photos featured at the Shutter Space event and will receive the carry-on case and the Toyo Tires-branded camera strap.

Contest entires will be judged based on their originality, artistic composition and technical aspect, embodiment of the Toyo Tires' brand and lifestyle, and the inclusion of the theme "dramatic lightning." Submissions are due no later than July 5 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT.
