HIRATSUKA, Japan — Subaru Corp. has selected an all-season version of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd.'s Avid line as an OE fitment on 2024-model-year Impreza car models sold in North America.
The sixth-generation five-door hatchback Impreza is expected to be in dealer showrooms this summer. Subaru said the redesigned Impreza features a sportier design, a 10% stiffer chassis and improved performance, thanks in part to a 2-liter 4-cylinder direct-injection Boxer engine rated at 152 hp and 145 lb.-ft. of torque.
The OE fitment on the new Impreza is the Avid S34 in size P225/40R18 88V. The Avid S34 tire being supplied as OE has a larger contact area, providing stable driving performance not only on dry roads but also on snow, YRC said. The tire carries the M+S (mud & snow) marking.
