MIAMI — Difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have forced organizers of the Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo and the Latin Auto Parts Expo to postpone the show again.
The co-located events now will be held June 29-July 1, 2022, at the recently opened Panama Convention Center in Panama City, Panama.
This marks the third time the show has been postponed because of the pandemic. Organizers said the move was made "to prioritize the health and safety" of the exhibitors and attendees.
"This new date allows our exhibitors, attendees and expo staff to better prepare and handle these challenging circumstances," organizers said in a statement. "Above all, our goal is to protect the health of our community and those around us."
The show had been set for October, 2021, at the same venue.
Several safety protocols will be implemented at the event to provide a safe environment.
The exhibition is the largest for tire and auto parts in Latin America. The Latin Expo Group said it expects more than 300 exhibitors and thousands of tire and auto part distributors to attend the event, which had been held annually since 2010.
