CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill Tire is inviting drivers to attend its "DriveSmart Academy: What New Drivers Need to Know" class, a free event aimed at enhancing individuals' automotive knowledge and skills.
The event will be held May 9 at the dealership's Fordham Boulevard location in Chapel Hill.
DriveSmart Academy offers attendees the opportunity to master essential automotive skills in a hands-on setting. Led by the dealership's technicians, participants will learn automotive skills such as tire changing, accident response protocols, oil level inspection and tire pressure checks.
"While some maintenance tasks, such as complex repairs or electrical work, should be performed by qualified professionals, many basic maintenance tasks can be easily performed by vehicle owners with minimal tools and knowledge," Chapel Hill Tire President Marc Pons said.
"Tasks like checking fluid levels, replacing wiper blades, and changing air filters can save money and empower drivers to take better care of their vehicles."
