WOODRIDGE, Ill. — The Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA) will hold its 2021 Fall Technical Conference Sept. 15-16 in Rosemont, Ill.
Registration is currently open for members, which can be accessed through the "Upcoming Events" section on its www.amra.org website.
This will be the first in-person event the association has held since January 2020. In place of the in-person Technical Conference, AMRA hosted virtual webinars that members can view on the website.
The Technical Conferences are a regular part of the association's Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) held three times a year and include major service providers as well as other industry companies that support them.
This year's fall meeting content will cover topics that will help AMRA/MAP members better serve the motorist and their complex vehicles, the association said. Industry experts will be giving presentations designed to inform the attendees of any recent changes in technology, process or manufacturing.
"We are beyond excited to be hosting an in-person meeting. Like everyone else, we have been operating in a virtual world for the past year-and-a-half and now we feel like it's a great time for us to get back to what we do best with our Technical Conference," AMRA's President Jeff Cox said.
The fall event also will include a networking dinner bringing industry professionals from both service providers and non-service providers together to foster relationships and serve as a pipeline for collaboration.
AMRA, a nonprofit trade association, is an alliance of automotive professionals responsible for standards of customer service through 21,000 service provider locations and their 80,000 MAP-qualified associates. Membership includes service providers, parts suppliers, parts manufacturers, tool and equipment manufacturers and suppliers, as well as technology companies.
