LAS VEGAS — RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels (RNR) is looking to add 25-plus locations this year, starting with Las Vegas, which the tire and custom wheel retail business franchisor has identified as a market that fits its business model.
RNR already has begun a search for "qualified multi-unit franchise partners" for the Las Vegas expansion. RNR representatives will be attending the Multi-Unit Franchising Conference March 24-27 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas with that in mind, the Tampa, Fla-based company said.
"Las Vegas' demographics and tremendous long-term growth potential make it a perfect fit for the (RNR) concept, …" RNR Founder and President Larry Sutton said.
"We are committed to finding the right qualified and business-savvy franchise partners to help fill a void in the marketplace by bringing professionally installed, high-quality tires and custom wheels to the community."
RNR initially sees room for three locations in the Las Vegas area, including one in Las Vegas proper, one in Henderson, Nev., and on in North Las Vegas.
There are 118 RNR locations in 23 states now, and RNR sees that growing to 155 locations by year-end.
Part of the company's growth likely will come from business deals RNR has signed over the past few years with investors looking to open multiple units.
Among them are:
- OzarkGa L.L.C., a partnership involving franchise industry veterans Mike Hultquist and Grant Wetherill, who are committed to opening 16 RNR Tire locations in Alabama and Georgia over the next six years.
- Daniel Vail Investments L.L.C., a Kansas business partnership involving Geron Vail and Tim Daniel, rent-to-own industry veterans who envision opening as many as 29 RNR franchise locations in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. The partners opened a pair of stores in Kansas in 2017.
- RNR Tires Express of Texas L.L.C.. a partnership involving Cary and Tammy McPherson and David Belt that plans to open six stores in Texas to go with one they opened in 2016.
Founded in 2000 by Mr. Sutton, RNR offers a flexible pay-as-you-go tire and wheel business model.
