CINCINNATI — Tire Discounters Inc., the nation's ninth largest independent tire and auto service retailer with 113 locations, plans to open at least 15 stores this year, including three due to open in the next few weeks.
In order to keep up with the staffing requirements for the new — and existing — stores, Tire Discounters held an "On The Spot" interview event March 20 at all of its locations. Interested persons could walk into any Tire Discounters location during store hours — typically 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. — and be granted an interview with the store manager.
"Careers in automotive are becoming more attractive because of the opportunity for people to connect their passion with their paycheck," Abbey Dryden, vice president, marketing and talent acquisition, said.
"Tire Discounters offers high demand careers with job security, and the opportunity to advance."
The Cincinnati-based retailer is "looking for motivated individuals who are willing to learn, are driven to succeed, and want to work hard," Charles Curlee, vice president of retail sales, said.
"Don't be intimidated if you don't have automotive experience. Our on-the-job training can help you quickly learn the automotive skills you need to move up and grow a career in automotive."
Tire Discounters employees enjoy full benefits including: health, dental and vision insurance, weekly pay, five-day workweek, no Sundays, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k Retirement Savings plan with company match, disability insurance, life insurance, accident and critical care insurance, employee assistance program, wellness program, and more.
