LAS VEGAS — RareStep Inc., developer and marketer of Fleetio-brand fleet management solutions, has launched its Shop Integration software with national and independent automotive maintenance shops around the U.S. to allow its users to record service data automatically from a repair shop's point of sale, electronically approve repair orders and get one bill that includes all maintenance vendors.
Fleetio's Maintenance Provider Network allows fleet users to pull in data automatically from more than 30,000 maintenance shops, including Firestone Complete Car Care, Pep Boys, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (including Dodge and Jeep), Sears Auto Center and Monro Auto Service & Tire Centers. The network also includes more than 22,000 independent shops.
Fleetio's Shop Integration gives users increased control over repair order approvals and improves efficiency, allowing fleets to get vehicles out of the shop and back on the road faster, the company said.
Users can set up automatic approvals based on certain parameters, such as price, service type and vendor, or users can choose to receive instant notifications for repair work and approve or deny them with one click.
"We're automating many of the outsourced maintenance processes that fleet management companies have been facilitating through large staffs and call centers for the past couple decades," Fleetio founder and CEO Tony Summerville said.
"With our shop integration, we're bringing control and visibility back to the fleet customer at a much more cost effective price point."
Fleetio's shop integration comes at no additional cost to users and is included on the company's Pro and Advanced plans.
Fleetio's suite of fleet management solutions is geared to fleets of all sizes to help automate fleet operations and manage asset lifecycle with web- and mobile-based apps. Fleets can manage maintenance, fuel, vehicle inspections, parts and inventory, vehicle assignments and recalls, the company said.
