Tire Kingdom opens 'shop of the future' in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — TBC Corp. has opened a Tire Kingdom Service Center in West Palm Beach that features the company's "shop of the future" concept.

The eight-bay structure features a "state-of-the-art" business area; digital feature wall; children's tablets with games; enhanced concession area; an open seating area with an open view into the service bays; upgraded broadband connectivity; and digital inspection equipment.

TBC did not disclose its investment in the new store nor say whether it employed outside architects/designers to draft the new store concept, which features natural stone and earth tones in the exterior design.

"Our shop-of-the-future concept was designed with our customers in mind," TBC President and CEO Erik Olsen said.

"Focus groups, customer surveys and feedback helped us to design a space that was comfortable for customers, ideal for associates and now affords us the opportunity to exceed customer expectations … ."

The new store — located on Northlake Boulevard, a major east-west artery through West Palm Beach — is one of five Tire Kingdom stores in that Atlantic Coast city. It was built on a 1-acre site that previously housed a home furnishings business, according to public records.

TBC plans to use the design for new stores when they open, according to Bill Shull, division vice president for TBC.

"We're eager to continue unveiling more shop of the future designs for customers and team members to enjoy."

TBC operates more than 190 Tire Kingdom stores throughout Florida.
