ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Matthew Naylor, chief operations officer for Monro Inc. since March 2018, is leaving the company, effective April 30.
Monro did not elaborate on the Mr. Naylor's departure, which was disclosed in an 8K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Naylor joined Monro from gas station/convenience store chain Murphy USA Inc., where he had been vice president of sales and operations for 11 months. Prior to that held executive positions at Home Depot and Target for nearly 12 years and served six-plus years in the U.S. Army.
At that time, Monro President and CEO Brett Ponton said Mr. Naylor's experience and "track record of driving positive change, efficiency and growth to large organizations make him the ideal candidate for this important position."
Monro said Mr. Naylor will receive a $39,000 cash transition payment upon his departure.
A copy of the transition agreement will be filed as an exhibit to the company's fiscal 2019 annual report on Form 10-K.
