LAS VEGAS — Bosch Automotive Service Solutions has introduced an off-highway diagnostic cable and introductory software package in North America for the 3824 and 3824BSC ESI [truck] HD diagnostic tools, enabling technicians to diagnose and repair many non-highway vehicles.
Coverage included with the new kit can help diagnose construction equipment, street sweepers, agricultural vehicles and stationary engines, the company said.
The kit, 3824CBL-UPG, provides 3824 and 3824BSC owners with 10 cables for use on: Caterpillar, John Deere, Kubota, Perkins, Volvo, Massey Ferguson, SISU, Deutz, Deutz-Fahr and MTU vehicles, as well as others.
Repair information and diagnostic capabilities cover vehicles and systems with a variety of information, specific to vehicle type and manufacturer, and include:
- System coverage: Gearbox, HVAC, engine, steering, hydraulic systems, suspension, electronic modules, antipollution and central computer; and
- Diagnostic coverage: Manual processes, diagnosis info, measurable values, component actuations, ECU data, parameter IDs (PIDs), calibrations and resets, system technical data, wiring diagrams, vehicle technical data and vehicle maintenance information.
Prior to the expiration of introductory off-highway software, shop owners and techs can renew their off-highway coverage subscription through Bosch with part number 3824-08OHW, available in the first quarter of 2019.
System coverage and vehicle data available is unique to each vehicle and dependent on the availability of information from each manufacturer, the company said.
The kit is not compatible with the 3823 or 3823BSC ESI[truck] Pro diagnostic tools.
The 3824CBL-UPG off-highway cables and introductory software kit are available now through Bosch's distribution partners.
