MASHANTUCKET, Conn. — Tire Business automotive service columnist Dan Marinucci will be one of the featured speakers at the 30th annual New England Tire & Service Association (NETSA) Trade Show and Convention, to be held March 29-30 at the Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Mashantucket.
The convention, for tire and automotive industry owners and employees, will highlight the latest industry trends and technology, as well as provides networking opportunities for attendees. More than 50 vendors will be at the show, offering products, services, and information necessary for dealers.
Mr. Marinucci will give a free training seminar, "Essential Electrical Checks You Should Know," on March 30. The seminar is designed to get technicians on track toward the elite rank of automotive electrician.
Thomas Tucker, director State Government Affairs for the Auto Car Association, will deliver the keynote address during the March 30 business luncheon. Mr. Tucker will address the more serious threats facing the industry, issues currently in front of state legislatures and in courts, which could determine the future of the industry.
The Hall of Fame dinner and scholarship auction will conclude the trade show. This year's inductees are:
- Thomas O. Auger, VIP Discount Auto Center (L&A Tire), Lewiston, Maine;
- Harvey Rudnick, Summit Tire of Massachusetts, Brockton, Mass.; and
- Sid Tinson, Sullivan Tire, Norwell, Mass.
Proceeds from the auction will help fund 19 scholarships, worth $2,000 each, that will be awarded in May.
