CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Custom wheel distributor Vision Wheel Inc. has opened its sixth warehouse and distribution center, a 10,000-sq.-ft. facility in Charlotte that will service customers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Vision Wheels houses nearly a half a million square feet of inventory in its network of distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada. Other D/Cs are located in Decatur, Ala.; Corona, Calif.; Portage, Ind.; Coppell, Texas; and Richmond Hill, Ontario.
According to founder and CEO Roger Minor, Vision Wheel has grown from one shop to an international network in 43 years in business.
"I'm proud to be able to open this new facility that will get the product our customers want into their hands faster and more efficiently than ever before," Mr. Minor said.
Jason Vaughn, an 18-year industry veteran, said he is "excited" to oversee the Charlotte operation as regional manager.
"From North Carolina, we have great coverage of the East Coast for faster shipping," Mr. Vaughn said. "The faster customers can get their order, the happier they are."
Vision Wheel said the new location is strategically located, in proximity with the significant motorsports presence in the area as well as the headquarters of home improvement giant Lowe's Companies Inc., and a recent expansion of an Amazon warehouse.
The company said more facilities are planned this year, but didn't specify a region.
Decatur-based Vision Wheel offers products under the Vision Street, Vision Off Road, HD, American Muscle and Milanni wheel lines, as well as custom UTV and ATV wheels and tires.
