MALVERN, Pa. — Automotive aftermarket broker Art Blumenthal L.L.C. has redesigned its website, creating an online and mobile experience that focuses on the needs of buyers and sellers of tire and auto service centers nationwide.

The target audience of the website, art-blumenthal.com, will have access to pertinent information.

Firm owner Art Blumenthal said the site is designed to be a "central clearinghouse of information" for those contemplating a sale within the next five years, as well as for those considering starting a tire and auto service business of their own.

In his nine years as a business brokerage intermediary Mr. Blumenthal said "a majority of shop owners considering the sale of their businesses need a starting point at which their questions about maximizing sales price and step-by-step selling process procedures can be efficiently addressed.

The website will include updated documentation and stories covering such topics as business valuation, exit-planning strategies, independents vs. franchises, bank financing, necessary forms and in-depth case studies of the experiences of previous sellers and buyers.

The site will feature a blog covering topics of interest to buyers and sellers, as well as a registry that will allow the company to use data to match buyers with sellers. It also features a link that provides owner-specific suggestions to improve the business and maximize its value.

Buyers also may pinpoint specific locations on an interactive map that efficiently filters available listings by state. A confidentiality agreement and buyer profile, which can be electronically signed via computer or mobile phone, is available as well.

Plans call for the site to include Mr. Blumenthal's webinar, "Business Succession Planning for Aftermarket Shop Owners," which examines 10 factors to maximize business sale price.
