GREENWOOD, Ind. — Mike Davis, owner of Carrollton Complete AutomotiveL.L.C.in Carrollton, Texas, was the grand prize winner of KYB Americas Corp.'s Max Truck contest.
The KYB Max Truck — a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 — is equipped with KYB's Strut-Plus Gas-a-Just unit in the front and a MonoMax unit in the rear to illustrate KYB's monotube upgrades.
Carrollton Complete Automotive is a single-outlet complete car repair facility and Goodyear-affiliated tire dealership in Carrollton, a northern suburb of Dallas.
As part of the promotion, hydraulics manufacturer KYB awarded six YETI coolers and 200 Flexfit KYB Max Truck Hats to winning entrants. Shop owners could follow the Max Truck's tour across the country on KYB's social media channels.
The contest was open to qualified independent repair facilities in the U.S. and Canada. Shop owners registered their shop online and received additional entries with each KYB purchase during the promotion.
The promotion ran from August through November.
Aaron Shaffer, KYB director of product and marketing, sand the contest was "bigger than last year's with even more participation and engagement from service providers."
