BRANCHBURG, N.J. — Cargo control and securement manufacturer and distributor Kinedyne L.L.C. has introduced the two new versions of its Grip Link Brand Tire Chain, the 7- and 8-millimeter heavy-duty stud tire chains that are designed exclusively for off-road use.
Grip Link Brand Tire Chains come in 7-millimeter steel wire v-bar and 7-millimeter steel wire square link designs for highway use. The new 7- and 8-millimeter heavy-duty versions give users more flexibility and two lightweight alternatives, Kinedyne said.
The 9-millimeter steel wire heavy-duty stud Grip Link Tire Chains have been discontinued, but will be available while supplies last.
Robert Spooner, director of sales – Canada, Kinedyne Canada Ltd., said the chains "are the perfect solution for worry-free traction over uneven terrain and through difficult environments including oil fields, lumber yards, rock, mud and any snow or ice condition imaginable."
Kinedyne said the Grip Link studs, crosslinks and sidewall chains are made of hardened, high-strength carbon steel, and the 7- and 8-millimeter heavy-duty stud chains come with 14 crosslinks that provide superior tractive characteristics.
The new heavy-duty stud tire chains come with four tensioning cams that allow for quick and secure tightening on single models, Kinedyne said, and feature eight cams on dual-triples, with four cams on the outside and four on the inside. Multiple cams provide even tensioning, ensuring a secure fit, according to the company.
Mr. Spooner said the tire chains work with larger diameter tires and come in retail display-ready, reusable, easy-to-carry, "Easy Store" pails.
