WIXOM, Mich. — ATEQ Corp. has added Hamaton Automotive Technology Co. Ltd.'s U-Pro Hybrid 2.0 sensor to its tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) tool software portfolio.
According to Hamaton — a Chinese automotive sensor producer — the move enables ATEQ TPMS tool users to configure U-Pro Hybrid 2.0 sensors in one to three seconds and program them in seven to 10 seconds. Hamaton said the Hybrid 2.0 covers 97 percent of the vehicle market.
ATEQ's latest software update also includes new features that enhance Hamaton's H46 tool. Advantages include:
- An OBDII module to retrieve existing sensor IDs from the vehicle's ECU, then transfer them to new programmable sensors, which Hamaton said is advantageous when cloning isn't possible, for example, due to a dead battery.
- After a sensor's ID is manually entered into an H46 tool, relearn procedures are avoided as IDs remain identical; and
- It is able to copy more than one sensor consecutively.
