NORCROSS, Ga. — Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists L.L.C. (AWRS) has acquired AWRS Midwest, a franchisee that has operations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
The acquisition, for which financial terms were not disclosed, will grow the AWRS footprint significantly, both geographically and financially, Norcross-based AWRS said, thereby expanding upon AWRS Midwest's successes and exploring more in-depth capabilities.
AWRS Midwest COO Mike Riley will continue to oversee daily operations of the Independence, Mo.-based operation.
AWRS Midwest has franchise locations in Fayetteville and Little Rock, Ark.; Kansas City, Kan.; Shreveport and Bossier, La.; Kansas City and St. Louis, Mo.; Oklahoma City; and Nacogdoches, Longview and Tyler, Texas; along with a wheel remanufacturing plant in Independence, Mo.
This acquisition fits into the AWRS growth strategy espoused following its purchase by Soundcore Capital Partners L.L.C., a New York-based private equity firm, in November 2015.
Within nine months of acquiring ASWRS, Soundcore acquired eight franchises in key markets.
