CINCINNATI — Tire Discounters Inc. plans to open four retail stores in Tennessee and Alabama before year-end, including the Cincinnati-based dealership's first in the Knoxville, Tenn., market.
The new stores — in Chattanooga, Knoxville and Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Huntsville, Ala. — will extend the company's reach to 116 stores in six states.
The stores in Oak Ridge and Knoxville's Cedar Bluff neighborhood mark the company's long-awaited entry into the Knoxville market, where Tire Discounters plans to add an undisclosed number of more stores in 2019, according to President Jamie Ward.
The new stores in Chattanooga and Huntsville are the dealership's sixth and fourth, respectively, in those markets.
"This year we've grown through partnerships, like our stores in Dalton, Ga., and organically with new customers and new stores in our existing markets," Mr. Ward said, recapping Tire Discounters' 2018 business year.
