LAS VEGAS — William "Mac" McGovern, recently retired director of marketing and training for KYB Americas Corp., received the Import Vehicle Community's Lifetime Industry Achievement Award during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
The Import Vehicle Community, an Auto Care Association (ACA) division, recognized men and women who have made significant contributions to the import automotive aftermarket with awards presented at its luncheon and awards program.
The Lifetime Industry Achievement Award honors individuals whose outstanding performance, integrity, dignity and conscientious approach to business affairs are demonstrated as a matter of routine, the organization said, noting the award is not intended to honor principals of high visibility or popularity, but as a means of recognizing "worker bees" or "people in the trenches."
Rosemary Perry, retired ACA segment management specialist, also received the award.
KYB is a $4.2 billion global hydraulics manufacturer and a supplier of shocks and struts to vehicle manufacturers and the aftermarket.
