SUWANEE, Ga. — The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) has selected Maxxis International – USA as its tire manufacturer of the year for the second straight year during the series' annual end-of-season banquet.
The predominantly West Coast, short-course off-road racing series features 11 classes.
During the season — which comprised nine events at six venues — Maxxis-equipped Brock Heger and Corry Weller earned championships in Pro 1000 UTV and Turbo UTV, and Doug Mittag took second place for the season in Pro 4. Rodrigo Ampudia was third overall in Pro 2.
In a statement, Maxxis said it was "honored" to receive the award and thanked all drivers and teams "who have worked so hard throughout this season."
Maxxis is one of six tire brands competing in LOORRS; the others are BFGoodrich, Falken, General, Mickey Thompson and Toyo.
