BOWIE, Md. — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has compiled a solid line-up of presentations — including forecasts for the mining and construction sectors — for the group's 64th Annual Off-the-Road (OTR) Tire Conference scheduled for Feb. 20-23 at the Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Fla.
In addition to the schedule of business presentations on each of the three days, TIA plans to hold a live demonstration on-site of its earthmover tire service training, using a haul truck it acquired recently and plans to use at OTR technician training sessions in the future.
That demonstration is scheduled for the morning of the 20th, TIA said.
Among the business presentations scheduled are:
Feb. 20
- "OTR Black.... Is It the New Green?" A Sustainability Update for OTR Tires
Feb. 21
- U.S. Construction Forecast
- Canadian Construction Forecast
- Crane and Operator Certification Requirements
Feb. 22
- Innovations in the Monitoring Solutions
- I Know What to Do, … So Why Don't I Do It?
- A Higher Purpose "From a Dealer's Perspective, What We Do Every Day, and Why It's Important?"
- Wheel Safety and Certification
- Earthmover Tire Service Training
TIA has as yet not identified speakers for these presentations.
The association has arranged for motivational speaker Mark Nutsch, a former U.S Special Forces captain, to share his true-life story of helping lead what is considered the most successful unconventional warfare campaign in modern history.
Rooms at the Saddlebrook Resort are at a premium, TIA said, noting that conference registration is required prior to reserving a room.
TIA has posted the registration form on its site.
