LAS VEGAS — Private and import brand marketer Tireco Inc. is highlighting its engagement in off-roading at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas with an emphasis on its Milestar Patagonia X/T extreme all-terrain and Milestar Patagonia SXT, UTV off-road tire.

Tireco sees the SEMA Show as the "pinnacle of automotive trade shows" and the "perfect forum" for the company to promote the Milestar brand's expansion into new segments, Andrew Hoit, vice president of sales and marketing, said, as well as reconnect with dealers.

The Patagonia SXT, engineered specifically for recreational off-road vehicles such as UTVs and Side By Sides, debuts at this year's SEMA Show, running through Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

To showcase the toughness of the Patagonia SXT — which is built with aramid belt package for enhanced strength and weight reduction — Tireco has partnered with FOX Shocks and Dan Fresh Racing to compete in 51st Running of the SCORE BAJA 1000 starting on November 14 in Ensenada, Mexico.

Mr. Fresh will compete in Class 2900, Pro UTV Forced Induction in a Magnum Offroad prepped Can-Am X3, equipped with 32x10.00R15 Patagonia SXTs.

The DOT-approved UTV-specific tire was developed to conquer extremely harsh terrains such as those found in the Baja California Peninsula of Northwest Mexico, Tireco said.

It features a cut- and chip-resistant, silica-enriched tread compound, deep, wide grooves with stone ejectors help disperse dirt and debris, and overlapping wide tread blocks maintain stability and improve sure-footed control.

The Patagonia SXT is a derivative of the Patagonia M/T "maximum traction" light truck/ SUV tire in the Milestar portfolio.

The Patagonia M/T is designed with the attributes necessary to overcome any terrain, Tireco said, including a high-void tread design, staggered, off-center tread blocks, and a three-ply sidewall.

It's available in LT and flotation sizes for both import and domestic vehicles. Some of the more popular sizes are LT265/75R16, LT285/75R16, LT265/70R17, LT285/70R17 and 37X12.50R17.

Tireco also is featuring its full range of tire and wheels.
