TAMPA, Fla. — In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels has been inviting family and friends of breast cancer survivors or fighters to nominate them for a chance to win prizes.
The national contest, which runs through Oct. 28, seeks inspiring survivor/fighter stories with the winning subject earning a set of new tires, a full spa day package and $1,000. Winners will be contacted Oct. 31. Nominations can be made at RNRtires.com/pink.
RNR corporate-owned stores also have been collecting donations throughout October and will be making a cash donation to a local breast-cancer awareness organization in Florida.
"One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer throughout their lifetime. Due to its prominence, most people know someone affected by the disease in some way," said Larry Sutton, president and founder of RNR.
"At RNR, giving back is at the core of who we are as a brand and we are honored to have the chance to give back to those who have given and lost so much to breast cancer."
There are 116 RNR locations in operation, mostly franchises, in 22 states.
