LAS VEGAS — Hunter Engineering Co. is one of three companies nominated for the Special Equipment Manufacturer Association Manufacturer of the year, SEMA said recently.
Wheel service product manufacturer Hunter is competing with fuel-pump producer Aeromotive Inc. and aftermarket performance parts desiginer Edelbrock L.L.C. for the honor, to be presented at the SEMA Industry Awards Banquet on the evening of Nov. 1 in Las Vegas at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
The award — being given for just the third time — recognizes companies that have made a significant impact on the specialty-equipment market during the 12 months corresponding with the SEMA fiscal year, July 1 through June 30, SEMA said.
Last year's winner was MagnaFlow Exhaust Products.
SEMA also will present the Person of the Year and Gen-III Innovator of the Year awards at the banquet, as well as pay tribute to the 2018 SEMA Hall of Fame inductees — Donnie Eatherly of P&E Distributors; Ed Pink of Ed Pink's Garage; and Chris Thomson of TMG Performance Products.
