ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monro Inc. has promoted two members of its senior executive team, Deborah Brundage and Avi Dasgupta, to new positions as the firm executes its "Monro.Forward" strategy.
Ms. Brundage, who joined Monro in March as senior vice president of marketing and merchandising, is now senior vice president – chief marketing officer, tasked with leading Monro's efforts to increase customer retention, drive new customer acquisition and build an omni-channel presence.
Mr. Dasgupta, who joined Monro in July as vice president of IT infrastructure and data architecture, advances to senior vice president – chief information officer, responsible for investing in technology to support the execution of the firm's strategic initiatives.
Monro President and CEO Brett Ponton lauded both executives, citing Ms. Brudage's "invaluable expertise" in leading improvements in marketing and merchandising and said Mr. Dasgupta has "exceeded our expectations" in transforming Monro's IT organization.
Prior to joining Monro, Ms. Brundage was with Procter & Gamble for 16-plus years, where she specialized in global brand development, marketing and business leadership.
Mr. Dasgupta brought over 25 years of IT experience to his job at Monro, including positions with Constellation Brands and Xerox.
