BOSTON — Henley Enterprises Inc., a Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee with 52 locations in the Boston area, recently raised $52,260 to support Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for adult and pediatric cancer care and research.
Henley's Boston-area stores raised the funds by participating for the fifth straight year in "A Chance for Kids & Families" fundraising program organized by Jimmy Fund, a non-profit dedicated to raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Henley Enterprises is the largest Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee with more than 175 service centers in 10 states.
The franchisee said this year was a record contribution and raised the total collected since 2014 to over $174,000. Valvoline Instant Oil Change customers had the opportunity to contribute $1 or more to the program.
"We are excited our employees and customers got so involved this year," said Don Smith, CEO of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee.
"The Jimmy Fund has long been a pillar in our community, and the work they do to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is remarkable."
