LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Snap-on Inc. has added 11 training videos that it said will help professional technicians navigate the features and functionality of the Apollo D8 scan tool with intelligent diagnostics software.
The free, five-minute videos include an introduction to the tool, overview of intelligent diagnostics and a complete vehicle system scan. The Snap-on website has a complete list of subjects.
Helen Cox, senior marketing manager of Snap-on Diagnostics, said the videos teach technicians how they can get the most out of their new Apollo D8 diagnostic platform.
"They are offered as short instructional videos on specific topics, so technicians can quickly get answers on different aspects of tool operation," she said
The Snap-on training videos provide product training available to technicians 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. It allows for them to revisit training sessions as often as necessary to learn at their own pace and comfort level.
Each module is hosted by National Field Trainer Jim Moritz, who has more than 30 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, engineering, marketing, training and technical support.
Snap-on said the Apollo D8 saves time by guiding techs step-by-step directly to the solution, eliminating guesswork. The information needed to diagnose vehicles and diagnostic trouble codes is on one card, making the diagnostic process simpler, teh company said.
