SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Pep Boys retail locations in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia are offering free flat tire repair and vehicle inspections for storm damage, as well as 25-percent discounts on automotive repairs and merchandise to customers in areas impacted by Hurricane Florence.
The company also is inviting local residents to visit their local Pep Boys to use amenities, such as free coffee and WiFi service, as the recovery effort continues.
"During this difficult time, your local Pep Boys is here for you. As we recover as a community, our focus is on helping in any way we can. We will take care of you and your car," CEO Dan Ninivaggi said in an email message to customers in the Southeast.
Ahead of the storm, Pep Boys stores in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia were stocked with emergency supplies, including generators, battery booster packs and jump starters, extension cords, gas cans and flashlights.
There are 104 Pep Boys locations in the four states, according to Pep Boys' website.
Pep Boys, a unit of Icahn Automotive Group L.L.C., offers name-brand tires, automotive maintenance and repair, auto parts for DIYers, commercial auto parts delivery and fleet maintenance and repair.
