The unique event, for tire dealers, suppliers and other industry personnel, is completely online. It features exhibitors, a networking lounge, live webinars and pre-recorded podcast interviews of top industry executives.
Marie Nieirwoski, director of merchandising of motors parts and accessories at eBay, will conduct one of five webinars that will cover a variety of subjects relevant to the day-to-day business of a shop. Her topic is "5 Tips to Growing Your Online Tire Sales." That webinar will be held Sept. 25 between 12:30-1:3 p.m.
A director from eBay Inc., along with executives from Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. (SRNA), Toyo Tire USA Corp. and TireHub L.L.C., are among a group of industry experts who will participate in the event.
The other webinars and their presenters are:
- "Selling Off-Road Tires to Today's Truck Owner," George Lugo, Atturo Tire Corp.;
- "Attracting, Developing and Retaining Top Talent," Mike Cioffi, Tire Talent;
- "5 Proven Tactics to Attract More Millennials to Your Shop," Podium Corp. Inc.; and
- "Retreads: A Profitable and Reliable Business Solution for Fleets," Kyle Chen, Bridgestone Bandag.
"This is an exciting learning opportunity where tire dealers and their employees can participate right from the dealership, with no travel involved," said Tire Business Editor Don Detore. "We have enlisted a number of webinar speakers on topics of keen interest to dealers."
In addition, Tire Business Publisher Dave Zielasko and Mr. Detore will interview several industry leaders for podcasts in a program called View From the Top.
Among the industry leaders who will be interviewed are Roy Bromfield, president and CEO, Toyo Tire USA; Peter Gibbons, CEO, TireHub L.L.C; Anne Forristall Luke, president and CEO, U.S. Tire Manufactures Association; Stuart Schuette, CEO, American Tire Distributors Inc.; and Richard Smallwood, president, Sumitomo Rubber North America.
The executives will discuss some of the hottest industry topics, as well as their companies' performance and future strategies.
In addition, the event offers an easy-to-navigate online exhibit hall where attendees can get product information and conduct conversations with exhibitors.
Attendees will have all-day access, with educational sessions held from noon to 3 p.m EDT daily. The exhibitors will be available at their booths 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT daily.
